ECR4Kids 3 Tray Book Storage, Blue Review

We have had this book display (in red) for over a year now and it has been a wonderful, functional addition to our home. I love how many books it holds and how easy it is for my kids to not only find a book to look at/read, but also how it makes the books easy to 'put away.' The 3 Tray Book Storage came in perfect condition with all the necessary parts. The assembly was fairly simple and there were just a couple of places where I needed assistance to join the shelves together. This unit is so sturdy and will last as long as we want it to. For anyone wondering about the color, it is not as bright red orange as it appears in the photos--it is what I would call a true primary red.

Here are some measurements I don't believe are included in the information...the storage cubbies each measure 15" wide by 11 1/2" high. (I found two red storage bins at Target that were a great fit) Also, the width between each shelf is 3" allowing for thicker books or the ability to overlap books without damaging them. I will say that due to the height (36") my then three year old couldn't reach the top shelves at first, but there were still plenty of books within her reach on the lower shelves and I used the upper ones for my older son's books.

This book display is larger than most, but I wanted it to be worth it--most displays I researched held too few books and would not be worth the floor space they required. We can easily put 60 books of varying sizes on this one plus there is the storage below for other toys, games, etc. I also really like that this display can grow with us because the shelves can hold thicker and heavier books than most. This has been a great purchase and I highly recommend it!
