Ebony Wood Humidor Review

I tend to keep a lot of different brands and sizes on hand, so a wider and shallower humidor like this one cuts down on the digging around and re-packing. I'm thinking 130 cigars is optimistic however, 75-90 in the robuusto-to-toro size range is prob more realistic, and less if you need floorspace for a couple pots of humi-gel, as I will. I was a little worried about the color, as some photos of this model make it look greenish. It's good though, nice brown and black. Seems to be well made, the lid 'catches air' when dropped. No obvious flaws in or out. Hinges sturdy and noiseless. The dividers are the typical moveable foam-ended kind found with many humidors. The humidifier is sturdy and doesn't leak. The hygrometer - as expected - is a piece of crap, came out of the box in three pieces. It all snapped back together ok, and we'll see if it works. It does have a nice big easy-to-read dial. The hygro wasn't an issue for me, as I already have a couple that work acceptably well. On the whole, this is pretty expensive for an asian-made non-name-brand humidor, but it looks good, has lots of room and should work fine. I sure wouldn't pay any more than this, and in fact I took off a star -only- for the price. Will update in a month or so if there's any reason to.
