I have super thick rock hard versions of this chair also purchased from a restaurant supplier. They are indestructible and can hold a heavy person but they are no substitute for long term office seating. They HURT after an hour so these are great waiting room chairs or kitchen table chairs at a vacation home because the lacquer should hold up to humid conditions. They are decidedly TOO Yankee however.
